Audit your brand position<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Are you still connecting with your target customer? Is your target customer still the same?<br \/>\nTake the time to identify your ideal customer persona and ensure your brand identity and<br \/>\nkey messaging are aligned to your customer pain points. A simple SWOT analysis will reveal<br \/>\nwhere you may be able to align your business with growth markets and get out ahead of the<br \/>\ncompetition.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>2. Audit your services\/products<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Do you know how much revenue each of your products and services are generating? What<br \/>\nabout what they\u2019re costing you? You may find that it\u2019s no longer profitable to continue with<br \/>\na particular business line or that you have an underserved customer segment. Time is<br \/>\nmoney and energy, not just the revenue that flows, focus on the highest leverage activities<br \/>\nand product lines in your business. Simplify to amplify.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>3. Evaluate your web analytics<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Related to the brand audit, understanding where your traffic is coming from and who is<br \/>\nbuying from you will feed into your key messaging and brand marketing. From a tactical<br \/>\nmarketing standpoint, it will also enable you to improve your reach. Regularly scour your<br \/>\nGoogle Analytics and determine which parts of your website are high performing and where<br \/>\ncustomers are being converted.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>4. Speak to your customers<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It goes without saying but it\u2019s surprising how many businesses don\u2019t do this regularly<br \/>\nenough. Surveying your customers on your business and services will give you the insight<br \/>\nyou need to tailor your marketing and communications.
